Ensure OpenSLP source tree is installed 1. `tar xvfz test-suite.tar.gz' into the openslp directory. 2. Perform a root make of Openslp to ensure all libraries are created 3. Ensure that libslp.so.0.*.* is sym linked to libslp.so in the libslp directory. Executing Tests Go into the root directory and type the following commands: make clean make make test All tests are passed if the Makefile exits normally. Functionality Tested The following functionality has been tested (as of the date in the square brackets): [20000525] - SLPDereg() [20000525] - SLPFindSrvs() [20000525] - SLPParseSrvURL() [20000525] - SLPFindAttrs() [20000525] - SLPOpen() [20000525] - SLPReg() [20000605] - SLPEscape() [20000605] - SLPUnescape() The following SLP function as defined in RFC 2614 were not tested: - SLPDelAttrs() - SLPFindSrvTypes() - SLPFree() - SLPGetRefreshInterval() - SLPFindScopes() - SLPGetProperty() - SLPSetProperty() Assorted Information Please contact us (slp_project@nexus.carleton.ca) if there are any issues with this test suite. The running of this test suite does not ensure that all of the functionality is working correctly, it mearly ensures that the tested modules return the valid results given their input.
